Also, queer people esp trans people tend toward RPGs over other genres. Yeah, I think what's happening here is less that gamers are overwhelmingly boring, and more that the small minority of overwhelmingly boring white cishet male gamers are effectively voting as a block, because there's a zillion ways to be creative, but only one way to be as boring as possible.
