i need it, for project's. i know i could pirate but i would prefer to do this the legal way. what's the easiest and cheapest way to do it fellow spreadsheet havers
Why give M$ money? Regardless, you can't buy it anymore, only rent, so either pirate it or use LibreOffice
AFAIK OpenOffice has been kind of neglected if not abandoned. Last stable release was over a year ago. Use LibreOffice instead
Is this for uni/school? They probably have office 365 and a download somewhere. Otherwise you're stuck paying a subscription at this point. There are libre options like pointed out in this thread (Libreoffice). However if you're stuck using non-microsoft tools Google Sheets is probably better if you need to colab.
hmm gonna see if i can squeeze this work into the trial period lol. thanks cumrade
Google docs has a spreadsheet function and that's free with a google account. It's not as good as Microsoft office but it can some basic spreadsheet stuff and it can open and write the modern Excel format.
