Even if you don’t think China is a perfect socialist paradise, it’s nice to see their government actually gives a shit about human development and long-term planning. Countries like India/USA have decent wealth but do jack shit about investing it in better public services, and for that reason I think China would be a better global hegemon than the US.

Anglo leftists gonna seethe at this post btw

Even better, just removing them from the data altogether. Like how real unemployment is at like 40% right now, but in order to be considered unemployed, you have to have been employed less than 3 months ago. Otherwise you aren't real.

you know i had someone tell me that the poverty data on a recent study was bs because it included full time college students who work part time lol, saying they had made a choice to get an education and live in poverty when they could just be working full time, so they shouldnt actually be counted as living in poverty...

Poverty isn't real, it's just an imaginary thing and it can't hurt you.

He says while taking every penny from your wallet and shaking you upside down by the ankles looking for loose change.

the next step of the project is to eliminate relative poverty, yes. eliminating absolute poverty provides a floor so that the next stage of the project can be done, and it is a major part of the upcoming five year plan (and, presumably, the one after that) with the goal of doing just that over the next decade

I’m actually curious to see what the homeless population in China is now. Any number is too high, but I’d bet it’s rapidly decreasing.
