    Yup. For all the jerking off that military history nerds on YouTube do about German doctrines and tactics, it was actually the Soviets who were the real innovative thinkers of the 20th century. Even to this day the Pentagon itself admits that the best literature on the theory of combined arms warfare comes from Russian sources, NOT German ones. But this never seems to manage to get through to the "enthusiast" community.

    And i mean, there should have been an indication of whose understanding of war was superior in the fact that it was the Soviets who won the war, not the Germans. So why do Westerners keep idealizing and worshipping the strategies and theories of LOSERS?!

      not to mention that france was taken over quickly simply because most of the army were collaborators, and offered no resistance whatsoever.
