Even so, I think it's a fundamentally different food that's had a lot more care taken in balancing the flavors. Just because Mexican food has delicious meat and chocolate moles, doesn't mean I'm going to eat a chocolate cake with ham in it.

sweet is fine, like dates, but pineapples are too sour for me,
