Media consumption in the end is kinda pointless for any kind of political goal. Watching a 1930s racist American western (like famously Stalin enjoyed doing) won't make much of a dent in your worldview much like a 1971 agitprop movie from Italy (La Classe Operaia va in Paradiso, good movie - almost impossible to find English subbed unfortunately) is unlikely to turn you into a revolutionary communist. What determines ideology is material conditions for the most part - with some exceptions like say the rare bourgeois person who thinks that embracing socialism is going to be a better future for humanity, as happens on rare occasions.
