If any of you follow gun content on YouTube, you're probably aware of the late Ernest Barry Elliot of Iraqveteran8888.
Fuck him. He was a racist and a sexist. He knew borderline nothing about the subjects he talked about, and spread lots of racist disinformation.
His famous "grab your crotch and hold the gun sideways" scene is a perfect example. Machine pistols become a fair bit more controllable when held at a 45 degree angle (see any hickok45 video about a machine pistol). Due to the huge dump of cheap machine pistols into american inner cities in the 80s, this became a fixture of rap videos (usually with a MAC 11) and therefore became "wrong" in the eyes of our terminally white boomer.
Beyond that, most of his info on cartridge selection and accessories is just straight up wrong.
I mean anyone with an "88" in their username is very likely to be very problematic to say the least.
"oh, I was totally born in 1988, nothing to do with being a nazi. Yes that's a swastika on my front page, why did you ask?"
I'd be inclined to believe him if if weren't for....points to his entire channel
The only gun channels worth watching are Hickok45 and Forgotten Weapons. Every every single other gun channel has some element of chudiness in the background or up front.
i haven't dug too deep into beau of the fifth column, but he seems alright.
Paul Harrell seems to be ok. His videos tend to be more formal and I guess... sterile? I've only gotten into his channel more recently though.
If other guntubers are like cool friends who show me their rad guns, Paul Harrel is your chill serious uncle who jokes around sometimes, but will flatly telly you about the time he killed a man in the war if you ask him.
