"Slow Cancellation of the Future" sounds really poetic and in broad strokes he can sound convincing... But this guy jabs about how 'different' music is from the past or some shit? He's a total Alan Moore 'hurr durr no new culture since 1999'.

      I think the biggest problem is 20th century heads think "the next big thing" is going to be advertised with neon signs and be on the radio 24/7, when a) that's a romanticized vision of the 20th century--'iconic music' from the 60's and 70's is the creme that's floated to the top through decades of review, actually tuning into radios back then would be a lot less pleasant and uniform than the nostalgic expect, and b) we don't even listen to fucking radio anymore, jesus, movers and shakers in music have been online for a long time, even before streaming was ubiquitous.
