Led by the higher ups in the air force, they deposed Prince Paul (Pavle Karađorđević) for joining the Axis and replaced him with King Peter, who was 17 at the time. It ended up leading to the Germans invading Yugoslavia and winning very quickly, but it forced them to delay the invasion of the USSR by about a month, and depending on who you ask this either had a major effect on the war in the Eastern front, or none at all.
