You know some of these people going "how could they give it a 9 or a 10?" are the same people that attacked and harassed anyone that gave it a score lower than a 9 before it came out lol

Just a thought, maybe some reviewers aren't fans of getting death threats for giving unreleased games a "horrible" 7/10 score, so they just spike the score slightly in order to avoid that.

There are bad reviewers, of course, but honestly, I can't say for sure I would be an impartial reviewer if I knew I could get doxxed and harrased for giving something a 7/10 -- I'd just give it an 8 and be done with it.

There's also like... Literally nothing wrong with it? It's nothing revolutionary but it's a very good near future GTA game with a decent story and above average combat mechanics.

The only legitimate criticism is performance on older hardware being poor, but like... it's a brand new game what the fuck did you expect trying to run it on a launch model PS4? If you're really desperate to play it but you don't have a good PC or a new console then get it on Stadia!

The games development is literally older than the ps4, they announced it in 2012 before we even knew what the ps4 and Xbox one would look like. No excuse for it not to work properly on last gen. Also the next gen versions aren't even out on ps5 and Xbox Series X yet, the only reason they have better performance is brute forcing it though backwards compatibility. What's the point of making a game that you need a 1000 USD PC to play, then most people can't play it.
