    It's a terrifying concept to be sure, especially since the majority of mutants don't have amazing powers, they just look different

    I mean, the comics forget that point pretty frequently, but I always like to remember it

    The 90s X-Men cartoon made them pretty damn scary too.

    If lord-bezos-amused deliberately financed a paramilitary line of surveillance/enforcement robots and called them "sentinels" the bazingas would shoot thick ropes over how it's just like their treats and that's all the thought they would put into it.

    Grant Morrison's "New X-Men" had a lot of issues for me, but the "feral" Sentinels that Cassandra Nova found in South America and used to attack Genosha struck me as extra monstrous since they were improvised in design and ran on killer "instinct" for lack of a better term.
