Just curious. It's on sale again, and I've been getting back into Fractals and WvW. Don't play for hours on end, but love that the game can be played casually. Would love to get good at PvP, but I'm dog shit, so whatever. I'm on Crystal Dessert, if that matters.
Haven’t been on in a little while, but I play. Waiting for the itch to kick back in.
I just assumed I couldn't play because I was using Linux, but got it working with Lutris, and that caused the itch to come back.
My brother keeps trying to get me back into it but I promised myself i wouldn't dive back into an mmo before I found a new job. I used to play it a shitload from 2015-2018 (prolly failed some uni courses because of it), but only a few hours every few months in the last 2 years.
Oh shit, stay away. I enjoy the game, but must do so in moderation, lest I get wife aggro, or neglect my children.
I'm in the same boat, right down to playing the original and leveling a necro. Played one character to 80 and used birthday boosters on the others.
Same. I played a Ritualist in GW1, but ran the meta build of NPCs through all the expansions, and the army of reanimated corpses was the star of the show. You'll never recapture that magic because those people you played with have moved on. Best you can hope to do is create something new.
I ran minions for a while, and switched to curses for that Epidemic damage. The elite specs look really good but take forever to unlock, so I'm not there yet. I got tired of the Berserker meta back then, but support roles are a lot more prominent now. I've been playing a healing Engineer, with the med kit, but you could probably do something similar with siphoned damage and Well of Blood.
