Richter disliked performing in the United States. Following a 1970 incident at Carnegie Hall in New York City, when Richter's performance alongside David Oistrakh was disrupted by anti-Soviet protests, Richter vowed never to return.

His Rachy 2 is considered definitive by many, but my favorite recording of his ever is his dark, regal rendition of Beethoven's third concerto.
Completely amazing. I wasn`t even a big fan of Beethoven until he knocked my block off with that performance. :lenin-heart:
