    She’s a psychopath.

She's surrounded by people feeding her shit information. That's how DC works. Someone pulled you into a room and says "Listen, you think you know things, but you don't. This is a secret report showing pictures of four year olds being raped by dogs. This is a human skull with bite marks on it. This is a spectrometer reading indications high levels of radioactive sarin gas. This is a warehouse full of children's shoes. We have a moral imperative to stop this."

And then she's coming out with strict instructions that she can't share this information with anyone. She just has to explain why she supports the vote.

It's a con game that the MIC plays on elected officials, particularly the young and liberal ones.

Except nobody in the position she is in would believe a single word of that stuff. It would be so naive it might as well be malicious, and I don't think she's naive.

The old myth that you can be immune to propaganda because you're too smart / too woke / too savvy is one I've seen lots of people buy into, with disastrous results.

She's not the first person to be sucked in by the Deep State Borg, and she won't be the last.

I don't attribute to ignorance what can be more easily attributed to malice. Isn't she a member of the DSA at the very least? She does have a degree in international relations or something so maybe she drank that flavor-aid and accidentally believes that stuff still.
