The most unbelievable part of right wing conspiracy theories is the idea of "crisis actors". They believe that the deep state is organizing mass murder events to further their fascist/communist goals, but dont believe the deep state would actually kill Americans. They're ironically naive about how evil the ruling class is

A lage appeal of conspiracy theories is the unspoken assumption that there are people who are in control and have a plan. Even if that's in service of a nefarious goal, it's more comforting than the idea that nobody's at the wheel.

What's more organized and meticulously planned than just gunning down civilians for a false flag attack? Crisis actors! It also doesn't help that Q-heads' conception of 'evil' begins and ends with cartoon show bad guys.

the idea that nobody’s at the wheel

        Libs are like that too.

When the news broke that Biden and his team wasn't getting national security info from the Trump administration - the talking heads (including ex-directors of the CIA) on MSNBC kept shrilly mentioning threats from foreign actors who might "take advantage" of "our weakness".

I thought that was really funny. Surely 95+% of the time since inauguration day Trump hasn't been paying attention at all to national security stuff and there's been nobody at the wheel.

I think one of the reasons people like Van Jones kept saying "Today, Trump became presidential," is that libs needed to pretend that - at least some of the time - Trump wasn't a ridiculous reality tv moron grifter clown. A president who is a ridiculous reality tv moron grifter clown isn't part and cannot be part of their of their West Wing view of reality. It's an impossibility.

There is a heartwarming hallmark film about how the theater club son of a hotdog necked cia agent figured out how he can finally earn his fathers respect and serve his country at the same time in there.

Shit, I can almost feel this getting made unironically.
