    My Disabilities in Film paper was taking a while to get graded and I was telling my mom about it, and then literally in the middle of the conversation the professor emailed me saying she finally graded it, it was one of the best papers she'd ever seen, and asked if she could use it for new lessons as required reading material. The actual fuck???

    Anyway it was about how ableist a lot of "pro-disability" films actually are and how cynical it is that the able-bodied community celebrates them instead of advocating so...based?

      Thank you for this. Please continue writing stuff like this, I really and sincerely appreciate it as someone that has gone though disease/disability. Everything helps in fighting against ableism.

        Yeah I'm disabled myself. Ableism is the building block of so much oppression. Transphobia, racism, sexism, etc. would all be nowhere without ableism.
