Hey does anyone here play Eve Online? I've played off and on for a few years, but I've never got invested in it because I didn't have anyone to play with. Does anyone here play? I think a chapo corp would be cool, but I would be willing to join the corp with a similar vibe.
I started playing EVE online during beta, and just couldn't get over how tedious it was for me.
My ADHD wasn't compatible with that game.
What you don't like a game where it takes actual real time days for your ship to be built
Eve's only interesting when something really big and serverwide happens, then you find out what the gameplay actually looks like.
TIDI getting into zone for an hour, bumping off POS walls for five minutes while you try to get the game to accept inputs...
my BLOPs fleet got baited/cyno dropped/doomsdayed by a pair of titans. hilarious fun.
isnt that game just playing a grueling job in capitalism or something. like im sure its fun for icelanders with their fancy safety nets but in america its just 'oh cool so i have an 8th job now, how fun!'
It is, but I hear you're also able to be a corrupt capitalist in an unregulated market. Fun if you're not actually hurting anyone.
Everyone has different tastes for MMORPG, and each one is usually a different balance of the same elements. I like that Eve puts an emphasis on logistics, it makes waging war more realistic. As for "‘oh cool so i have an 8th job now, how fun!’" It might actually be your first job that you see the full benefit of your labor come back to you, or invested in a community (corp) you care about. Also I like space and think it would be cool to explore it.
