Wow, I have not played NationStates in like a decade. Really takes me back, used to have a lot of these little nations. Would happily join the region!

Started a new state (Sapokanikan) as a state with no private property as well, so that's lit. I also resurrected my nation from many years ago (Axangonia , almost 8 years ago was the last activity!!!) and was pleasantly surprised to see that it's a "capitalist" state where private industry is only 8% of the economy, the wealthy are looked on with suspicion and scorn, and I abolished prisons and cars. Didn't identify as an out and out communist years ago, but I got pretty close with my nation I guess.

I tried to see if i could resurrect my nation from some many years back and decided to search to see what happened to it. It's in the "boneyard" and marked as ancient so I can't restore it even if I wanted to cause some jackass from last year used the name for a little bit. Fuck that person.

Oh sorry, I meant private industry. I guess private property still exists (maybe?) but there is 0% private industry. Just state owned enterprises and government services baby.

My old nation is labeled as "Civil Rights Lovefest," with "Civil RIghts" as World Benchmark and "Political Freedom" as Excessive. Pretty funny. Yeah currently my new one is a DemSoc nation too.

Joined! Also I was reclassified as "Scandinavian Liberal Paradise" immediately after legalizing same sex marriage, despite all private industry being banned and having a Gini coefficient of essentially 0. :haram:

So I made a country to play around with this, how exactly does this work? You just respond to issues when they pop up and that shapes your country over time? And what are trading cards for?

Yup, your responses to issues help to shape your nation. Also I have no idea what trading cards are for, I have never used them and never will.

There's several options in a handful of issues. As far as I can recall (might have changed a bit since I was last doing stuff) none directly abolish the police as such, more common are options to completely abolish courts and judiciary.

      https://www.nationstates.net/nation=caracasus/detail=policies

Scroll down to law and order, you want courts abolished and prisons abolished to get what's effectively no police force. Look for options that suggest/outright state that.

Ah nice if I ever get back into playing a decent amount I will send over a puppet. It's a fun game. I love writing factbooks for my nation myself but there's loads more to do.

Don't worry, I don't think its the only one and with the exception of chain issues they all repeat as long as your nation is valid for them.

Just resurrected my old nation to join, disappointed to see how many of you have rejected J. Posadas thought and banned WMDs.

Question: Am I obligated to make a leftist country? I personally enjoy making a very obviously shitty and absurd countries but I don't want to be a hypercapitalist dystopia amidst a bunch of left wing nations
