My impression is that musical tastes are really all over the place on hexbear - people post stuff from all kinds of genres and all of it gets extremely low engagement. The site has a fairly unified taste in film and tv shows from what i've seen, but i can't say the same about music.
I treasure every one of the 4-5 upbears my music posts get
for me it has varied, like sharing a song maybe gets a bit of upvotes occasionally getting 2-3 comments however asking for recommendations or discussing music has gotten some decent engagement with me and every interaction on the community has been really positive / cozy.
We used to have DJ nights on hextube which was a lot of fun, so a single user could showcase some of their favorite tunes.
Our favourite movie is The Wind That Shakes The Barley. Our favourite game is Disco Elysium. Our favourite music album is The Inalienable Dreamless.
It's weird to me how posts in the music comm gets so little engagement.

As much as I love music, I'm very averse to watching video when I'm scrolling lol. I have no idea why, it's really weird. And I even post videos in there once in a while!! I have been meaning to take time to sit and listen to a bunch of the posts and comment though, I love talking to people about their music taste. Lmao at my neurodivergent ass feeling like one of my favorite hobbies is a chore to engage in
We should definitely have a dedicated Death Grips community for myself and all of the other sickos and freaks on hexbear
