P much that. Arcade Fire is one of the best bands. I feel like their lyrics speak to the emotional dimension of leftism, what it feels like to be living in this world as a good person. God, I love them.
All of their albums are really great, imo, but their early stuff has this really raw, live, instrment-heavy sound that just can't be beat .

funeral is super nostalgic for me though, this song especially cuz it was my best friends fave song and he got my mom to buy the album for me in 6th grade.
Funeral is so good, and Everything Now is ALSO REALLY GOOD! I actually really liked how they released the first three songs ahead of time. And what the album talks about it really, really important and SUPER heavy, but the music is SO lovely it carries you right through.
You want to sing at me about the emptiness of consumer capitalist life, and all the strange and beautiful self-mutilation and suicide that enails, while also making that song a totally fuckin’ rocking dance number? Well you can fuck me right up, then, buttercup!
Honestly, I was sore when they made The Suburbs and it was all electronic instrumentation. But I love all the albums just as much now. And I really liked that Everything Now put down the dance vibes a lil bit again, and returned to some of that old energy that they started with. Some of the themes are right outta Neon Bible. I truly love Everything Now hahaha.
