Is lemmy.ml turn into authoritarian? - Lemmygrad
lemmygrad.mlI just realised, I can’t post anything on lemmy.ml [http://lemmy.ml] So, I
checked https://lemmy.ml/modlog [https://lemmy.ml/modlog], there’s a new
moderator.
[https://lemmy.nz/pictrs/image/9abdd163-6ddc-4433-81f8-3b28c250f37f.jpeg] All
posts and comments talking about China, Jinping, Russia, and Putin have been
deleted and users banned

I've been very lenient with libs. I generally let them say whatever they want as long as they say it in a respectable manner and don't break general rules. Don't really remove any pro Ukraine threads either rn.
Edit: It's just Dessalines removing stuff a lot. He is become authoritarian.
Here are my mod actions(I've been too much of a liberal here sadly)
Dessalines is an evil tankie???
Wait so you didnt even ban them? Lol they just single you out because you had marxist in your name
Yeah I just banned a spam bot and another guy spamming random shit with alts. Dessalines told me to be chill with bans.

Hot take: lemmy.ml is robust enough that it often tackles Nazi apologia on its own without intervention, so it might be better to let some of those posts through just so they can get dogpiled.
I think you can hammer harder, they are currently pissing and shitting themselves just because you removed some really indefensible shit, they will do so anyway about everything.
