Something I have to do fairly regularly in social settings. I still try to sprinkle in some materialist analysis where I can though. Just state some facts that are not so controversial to the normie mind, but perhaps get a bit of cognitive dissonance rolling for them.
You can lead a lib to the truth of marxist analysis, but you can't make them internalize it. Basically a soft-socratic method when in normie settings is my default strategy.
Can vouch for the soft-socratic method. Study the contradictions, lead people to point them out for themselves when possible. Launching into history lessons rarely will make anything stick, you need to get people to realize what they believe is contradictory first.
