Acquaintance was confidently talking about how Sweden is a socialist country. The sad thing is most Americans probably believe this, but dear god it is so over

Keeping your job is the first type of liberalism

Literally signed car paperwork with Raytheon and Halliburton employees because medication and therapy are not free

One time when hitching a ride to my 10 year high school reunion (which I recommend against going to btw) we were talking about countries we had visited/traveled to. I had mentioned that I had been to Cuba recently, so we got to discussing Cuba a bit. The Christian lib that was driving said something to the tune of "Cuba experienced a huge economic boom when the evil Soviet Union finally collapsed.".

It was so mind-numbingly historically illiterate I was gobsmacked. I didn't even know where to begin. Like they actually euphemistically call the 1990's the "special period" because of how absolutely devastating the collapse of the USSR was for them. I couldn't even begin to understand how he arrived at that conclusion.

Yeahhh I just kept my mouth shut and sorta marveled at the ignorance of it all

The convo that came after was very interesting, but luckily we (I) centered the convo back around to the Roman Empire tik tok trend. Though I couldn’t point out how most of it stems from the west’s perception of conquest/manliness

All the time, and a lot of the time it's some topic that will make you a pariah for arguing against it, like "the Soviet Union killed gorillions" or whatever.

Pretty sure if I defended the USSR to most people I know, even if it was totally factual, they wouldn't want to have anything to do with me anymore. Ebil Stalin wanted to rule us and all that.

Something I have to do fairly regularly in social settings. I still try to sprinkle in some materialist analysis where I can though. Just state some facts that are not so controversial to the normie mind, but perhaps get a bit of cognitive dissonance rolling for them.

You can lead a lib to the truth of marxist analysis, but you can't make them internalize it. Basically a soft-socratic method when in normie settings is my default strategy.

Can vouch for the soft-socratic method. Study the contradictions, lead people to point them out for themselves when possible. Launching into history lessons rarely will make anything stick, you need to get people to realize what they believe is contradictory first.

Poniedziałek... Wtorek... Środa... Czwartek... Piątek... Sobota... Niedziela...

Lucky bastard! I wish I could be you. Depending on the week it's on 'ek' days or 'a' days. Sometimes both :sadness:
