HarmonyOS 4, the operating system developed by Chinese telecom giant Huawei, now has more than 60 million users, the company said on Monday at its autumn new products launch conference. The Chinese tech giant Huawei unveiled a series of new products, covering various aspects such as consumers' daily work, audiovisual entertainment, heath, travel, etc.. It didn't gave much details on its Mate 60 series, which started selling last month, with reviews indicating high 5G speeds thanks to a Chinese chip. The launch event, held in a stadium and watched by millions online, was expected to see Huawei break its silence on the smartphone, which has been hailed by Chinese state media as a sign the firm had overcome U.S. sanctions that since 2019 has cut its access to advanced chipmaking tools and crippled its smartphone unit.
