    This has been a wild week.

    I just convinced my Trump supporter parents that the USSR was on the right side of the Cold War, and the US deep state has always been the bad guys.

    Now, I'm getting them to read Imperialism: the Highest Stage of Capitalism

        They just watched a political campaign where state-media and social media buried the fact that Joe Biden has the worst political career of anyone in office since H.W. Bush.

        The capitalists rebranded a segregationist, the author of '94 Crime Bill, a sponsor of the Iraq War, etc. as a "woke progressive." Social media purged a lot of the Hunter Biden story under the false accusation of "fake news." They buried Biden's declining mental health by hiding him from the public.

        Now they are seeing every major bank publicly condemn Trump. They are seeing every tech company purge him from the internet, to the point that he cannot even host a website on AWS.

        The event of the past year has made the dictatorship of Capital impossible to ignore. They know Trump has been defeated, but they do not know where to go from there.

        Their anti-communism is rooted in the fact that all the socialists and communists in this country are stooges for the Democratic Party - Bernie, DSA, CPUSA, etc.

        I have finally convinced them that the socialists & communists which align in any way with the Democratic Party are opportunists and enemies to the people.

        Also, their political beliefs have been branded as "Russian disinfo" for the past four years, so they are open to believing that the mainstream media have lied about Russia.

            Be careful, comrade.

            I was only this honest with my family because I trust them. I've also talked to Trump people online, and they generally agree with me, but they have no power over me.

            Speaking honestly about communism is dangerous. But it's also the best way we can explain ourselves. It's much better than the "overton window" nonsense.
