Both for the gender binary reasons and the it's just plain fucking stupid reasons. Parents on my social feeds are acting like they don't basically celebrate it every day.

    My mom (who I don't talk to much) posted a picture of me and her for sons day today apparently. I saw because someone showed me. She did not tell me she did this. I am not on any of her social media.

      that's the other stupid part. the post is more for the person making it than it is the subject of the post. it's similar to anyone who posts something about a dead relative. It's just seeking attention and pity. Im certain a shitload of people do not know my dad is dead cause i don't broadcast it constantly.
