Both for the gender binary reasons and the it's just plain fucking stupid reasons. Parents on my social feeds are acting like they don't basically celebrate it every day.
There should be a holiday specifically for large adult sons
My mom (who I don't talk to much) posted a picture of me and her for sons day today apparently. I saw because someone showed me. She did not tell me she did this. I am not on any of her social media.
What the fuck
that's the other stupid part. the post is more for the person making it than it is the subject of the post. it's similar to anyone who posts something about a dead relative. It's just seeking attention and pity. Im certain a shitload of people do not know my dad is dead cause i don't broadcast it constantly.
Wait, when did this become a holiday?
Edit: Mid 2000's apparently? I'm out of touch and becoming boomer. 😔
either i forgot it happening in years past but this year its fucking everywhere.
National Son's and Daughter's Day on August 11th brings parents and their children together for quality time.
That's right. We're giving you exactly one day for this.
August 11th is a Friday. Do we get that day off?
Fuck no. Vacation days are poor guy shit. If you want to spend time together, you should be getting your kids on that grind.
