I’m assuming you’ve worked a customer service job. Be nice to the people but be a bit of a Karen when it comes to pressing through the red tape. People want to help those lost in the cracks but it only comes to those who are willing to push through the failures of the system so you have to find the person to drag you out of your hole. You have fallen through the cracks so you want to keep doing the right thing until you get on the happy path again. Have the papertrail of doing all the appropriate steps and explain give the people who are going to have to advocate an exception to the system the easiest justification you can.
