      Serious question: organic foods fertilized with cow shit, vegan or not?

      Clarification: specifically cow shit that's shipped in from industrial ranches. It's different if it's a self sustaining food forest with a perfectly maintained ecosystem/foodchain.

      I don't think battery farmed eggs are vegan, but if you have your own chickens/know someone who has chickens, is eating their eggs really any different than using cow shit as fertilizer?

        So are eggs considered vegan?

        Ive heard two definitions, one is nothing that hurts animals, and another is no animal products at all.

        Just curious what you (and others) go by.
