Boris Pistorius (SPD) is examining a ban on antifa groups. Dozens of left-wing organizations call for protest with an open letter.
[...]
After an arson attack on the state registration authority (LAB) in Braunschweig, Pistorius had confirmed to the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung that he was examining such a ban. The LAB is responsible for initial admissions and asylum decisions. Some official vehicles had burned down two weeks ago - a "practical contribution to effectively hinder the processes in the inhuman deportation system", it said in a letter of responsibility.

The r/de Thread on this news something to behold. Just libs upon libs falling over themselves to claim both sides and how the police can actually do something against both and when presented with the evidence they don't even have the right wing extremism in check in any capacity, going by their very own statistics, suddenly it was all "um actually these things take time sweety".

If you ever thought anglo reddit had a love for processes, you have not seen r/de recently, nor should you. The recent news of the police having lots and lots of right wing extremists in them and the government absolutely mangling the Corona response has broken these peoples brain something fierce.

They even deny that the Verfassungsschutz is being run by fascists. They already forgot NSU i guess.

Ha Ha. I also get downvoted for saying that Navalny is a fascist and islamophobe. They really are "rather fascism before socialism"

Is there a german speaking communist sub? There's Dachschaden but they seem like weird anti-deutsche peeps.

Dachschaden are the biggest libs IMO. They banned me for saying Israel is an apartheid state.

r/Arbeiterbewegung maybe? Although I think they unfortunately aren’t that active.

I haven't been there in some time now thankfully and I wouldn't expect anything less from that shithole.
In general, it seems like all the EU-centric subs are competing with each other over who can be the worst of them all. Big yikes.

I mean even compared to their usual neoliberal with german characteristic takes, that sub took a hard dive right like a month or two ago. Just absolutely no critique there gets engaged beyond saying "ackshually it doesn't work like that right now". And not even with like "and that's good" or something, just literally presenting the fact how something is handled is the slamdunk rebuttal to any critique there, going by the up- and downvotes

For most of r/de, it isn't even is=aught, it's literally just is=is. Just complete political stasis in any direction.

I mean what fucking ideology is simoultaneously complaining the tax rate is too high but also that none of those taxes can be cut because tax revenue. Because that's a thing that happened over there recently.
