they used to be better but have taken an anti-vax/anti-lockdown crank turn over the last few years. afaik max blumenthal is calling the shots and he's aligning himself with contrarian assholes such as RFK jr., russell brand, and jimmy dore.

what you're telling me is that I'm missing a lot of funny articles by not having the grayzone in my rss feed

They definitely used to be pretty good as others said. I think you'd probably do well to just follow Multipolarista now though, Ben Norton was the best part of Grayzone anyway.

Pre Ben Norton split: Pretty good. They were one of the first news site to expose the so-called moderate rebels in Syria as a complete creation of the US state department.

Post Ben Norton split: Max became an antivaxxer crank and has been courting with LaRouchites ever since.

I guess if the article is older than 2020, it's good, but if it's after 2020, it's trash.

    Very much so yes.

People are hating on Blumenthal's shitty personal takes understandably but the actual reporting on GrayZone is still really good

Ignore the purity testing ad hominem stuff going on

On one hand, with maybe 50% international takes, sure, it did also take me 5 seconds to find this https://thegrayzone.com/2023/09/21/intel-uk-censorship-russell-brand/

I'll admit I haven't dug deeper into the sources or cross referenced anything because I don't care for Russell Brand but the actual credibility and quality of reporting seems alright to me
