I mean that guy seemed pretty unwell. I was expecting him to come off as way more frothingfash

    from a diff article:

In a podcast posted Tuesday, a man who identified himself with the same name and birthdate as the alleged gunman said he was in Madison and, in speech filled with profanity, said he would burn down the system ''with love'' because it is corrupt. The man complained about how he had been treated by the courts and spoke about illegally selling weapons, working in gun stores with explosives and machine guns, attempting suicide and dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. He also said he wanted to keep living.

not that random likely very right wing gun nuts deserve this much benefit of the doubt but he doesnt seem very ideological, and if that was actually him attempting to go after the governor not "protect himself" from ppl that the police won't as he claims, that'd be even more evidence that he's unwell in my book

walks up to state capitol openly, illegally carrying a firearm

asks to speak with major political figure

    gets arrested

    pays bail

shows up again with an assault rifle

asks to speak with major political figure again

    gets arrested again

what the actual fuck was this guy expecting

tbf it was only illegal because it wasn't concealed, concealed firearms are legal in the capitol building! Wisconsin is a crazy place

and the second gun wasn't (seemingly?) even illegal, since he was outside the building and open carrying it, but the concealed baton in his backpack that he voluntarily let them search was.

The guy went into the capitol shirtless with a gun demanding to see the governor about some nonsense, he clearly isn't okay, mentally, but I don't really see him as obvious fash either

And Evers is basically Billy Milquetoast as far as anyone is concerned

So it's not like being civil or polite is gonna spare anyone from being Fash-Bait

this shit only happens when the ultra fash aka conservatives. Liberals have a few brain cells as opposed to none. One of the few things to their credit.
