onions have such an awful texture to me. they are crunchy in the worst way possible, and for some reason people sneak them inside of almost every dish. pasta sauce does NOT need tiny crunchy vegetables.

Mushrooms and fat, for texture reasons. I like anything high in fat or cream of mushroom soup, though.
I like Indian food now, but having not even smelled it before, the first time my friend made it I couldn't stand to be in the room. Once I knew it tasted good I was mostly fine.
I had a violent, embarrassing reaction to that fake liquid smoke taste the first few times I ate at barbecue restaurants. My dad is a grill/smoker guy so I had definitely eaten smoked meats before.
My main problem is new smells/tastes. I had a lot more exposure to different foods than most Americans, or I might only be eating burgers and chicken nuggets.
