I like Charmander as much as the next large adult baby, but Bulbasaur needs more love.

I'm curious if any of y'all are dorky enough to have a favourite starter, if so, which one? (Obviously Rowlet is the best one so why am I even asking? :stalin-garrison: )

Yeah, Sword and Shield is just.. okay. Like, the wild area is cool, camping is cute and I like some of the new pokemon but it feels so rushed in places.

The gym battles were well presented though. I like that they've been giving the gym leaders more personality the last few gens. Opal was glorious.

Yeah that was the vibe I got from it. It looks rushed. There's no reason why a franchise worth that much money should put out a game that just looks under developed in every review I watched on it. I WANTED to give them money.

The battle animations for some of the moves, come on. Cinderace using double kick: just does a quick, poorly animated hop.

It does feel rushed and a bit shallow, compared to past releases. My favorite games are still Soulsilver and Black.

I really like the setting and the environment, though. I think the towns have neat backdrops that make the world feel a bit more full.

I've been watching a lets play of Pokemon Stadium and the animations are so full of personality in that game. It's night and day with the low-effort shit animations in the modern games.

it would help if a lot of the gym leaders didnt look like fully grown children or a ditto trying to look like a human.
