Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other senior figures from the ruling party have been detained in an early morning raid, the spokesman for the governing National League for Democracy said on Monday.

    So it sounds like shit will still be bad and will likely get worse for the Rohingya. Our of cynicism, I also suspect due to the ties with China, we will start to hear more about the genocide as the west will loose its access to Myanmar?

        The bulk of the population has already been driven out. Only 400,000 left in Myanmar proper, vs. the 1.4 million who fled to Bangladesh.
