I was at their sxsw talk in 2016 and an audience member asked why they featured Hillary and didn't support Bernie. It was super awkward and they got fuckin booed.

This was also the same year when Ken Burns and Henry Louis Gates sat around pretending Hillary was the best way to support minorities and the working class during Ken Burns's talk about his baseball doc.

One of the funniest shows of the 2010s and their legacy is this

i think it ended. at least i hope it did. i've heard there was a different head writer in charge that season, but Abby and Ilana def could have vetoed the, for example, entire episode devoted to a transphobic gag if they wanted to.

okay actually the more i think about that ep the more it pisses me off like Ilana Glazer is a bi woman playing a bi character based on herself that she allowed to be written as explicitly casually transphobic and I just can't fucking wrap my head around that like how can you be a queer person born and raised in New York City, removediest city in the world except maybe Sao Paulo and you don't have a single non-cis friend to be like "hey, what's wrong with you" like how many obvious red flags do you have to be flying for trans people to steer that far out of your way, good fucking god. I know the usual line is "uhhh it was a different time, it was normal, trans people hadn't been invented yet except as an easy punchline for hack comedians" but IMO in 2015 you really have to be asleep at the wheel to crash that Cessna.

They did this at the end of Derry Girls with Chelsea. I hated it.
