I bought it on 4/20 of this year having not followed the "development" of the game at all or looked into it.
I played quite a bit the first patch or two, but since then it's just been too frusterating, and even in the short time I've played it's very clear the dev team is very incompetent and has no motivation to actually build the game.
I gave up on SC years ago. I can't believe a community still exists around it in 2020.
