The NHL further cementing its reputation as the least LGBTQ friendly major professional sports league after a whopping seven players didn't want to wear optional pride jerseys during warmups last season. Literally rolling over to keep a handful of bigots happy. Disgusting.

As an aside, NHL games are unwatchable if you don’t like seeing ads all over the screen. Worst of the major sports. They put ads on the boards, ads on the ice, and superimpose ads on the glass. The other sports, there’s ads always on screen but those are much easier to tune out. None of them have ads directly on the playing surface. The NHL sucks.

Sounds like some of the Russian players were scared of reprisals (or at least said as much).
This isn't the direction I would have taken in response, though.
