California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a bill that makes it easier for authorities to compel treatment for people with mental illness or addiction issues

Translation: law passed making it easier for cops to strip homeless people of their rights

What are the circumstances under which you believe it is acceptable to compel someone to seek treatment, if any? Just wondering other leftists' opinions on this subject.
