This guy is so insular in his thinking and so out of touch. I think he has gotten a strange form brain poisoning from cultivating his own echo chamber in his comments and subscribers that it is only fellow neoliberals cheering him on as his takes just get more detached from reality.
Like back in 2019/2020 when Bernie was still doing well in the primaries he made a post saying "Obviously Trump supporters and the far-right are worse and more toxic, and I am not just propagating simplistic horseshoe theory. But we have to come to terms with the fact that the far-left is also toxic. Bernie Bros have that reputation for a reason" to which I just replied "So your hot take is that anyone that has meaningfully different opinions than you is toxic?" and he blocked me for that. Since that was the mildest response I could offer and only paid subscribers can respond on substack, I really think he blocks and ignores any criticism of his own beliefs, so he just interacts with other deluded "centrist" neoliberals.
He's a writer who's so bizarre I don't even know who would pay to read his crap. Irony-poisoned online neoliberals? Is that a viable demographic? He can't even manage the veneer of being reasonable that ghouls like the NYT pundits manage, it's just all fantasy all the time.
