    Yeah, the website that the compass is from is very obvious libertarian propaganda. For one, the test you can take to place yourself on the compass has a bunch of "are you a bad person?" questions, like whether or not you should beat your children, ban being queer, or create an ethnostate. Answering these doesnt change the left/right value of the result, but instead the auth/lib value. The result is that nearly everybody who takes the test that isn't a nazi gets placed as a libertarian.

      Secondly, the site's analysis of where different famous politicians and political theorists land on the chart is pretty suspicious. IIRC, Ayn Rand, who they use as the figurehead for libertarianism, is a deep libertarian centrist. They point out how she is exactly opposite of Hitler, an authoritarian centrist. They instead put Pinochet, who libertarians also really like, in the auth right corner where hitler belongs, but his economic advisor Milton Friedman gets to be in the lib right corner despite designing the economic engine of a dictatorship.
