      Punk basically froze in time 30 years ago. Self referrentiality is a really big thing in punk. I'm talking crust/dbeat kinda stuff. We're aware of it and it's kinda tongue in cheek

          I've noticed the internet disrockers. You can spot the difference from a mile away. Clearly intentional patch pants, studs aren't offset, or god forbid pyramid studs. This comes from wanting to look like a dirty punk but skipping the actually being dirty.

              That's silly as hell. Like, I dress super punk but a great deal of people who are very heavily involved dress pretty normal and that's chill. I live in a big enough place to have a scene but small enough people can't just go off in their own corners.

                  I guess there is a bit of a bar pop punk scene that's seperate but it's mostly Screeching Weasels sorta Ramones worship stuff which can be fun

                  We have it pretty good. Everyone more or less knows each other and there's a central DIY space for shows, meetings, recordings jamming, free food fridge, screen printing etc. So the main venue/jam space for DIY music of whatever genre is also the main leftist space. It works pretty great
