the idea of gay and straight are not necessarily as rigid. to have just someone who is statically gay, bi, or straight etc. as apart of identity isn’t necessarily culturally universal
look at the sambia tribes
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sambia_people
they basically have wives in middle adulthood and have intercourse with them as if they were straight, but they will have children of like 13 or so that they ingest elder cum either orally or anally depending on the local culture (the opposite could be seen as taboo to one or other). the rationale was babies need nourishing mothers milk to get to the next stage but they need the male energy of sorts via cum ingestion. its seen as a way to move from adolescence to adulthood. they then as an late adult will do the same to pass it onto the teen.
none of this is seen as what we would deem gay, bisexual or straight behavior. its all contextual as are most sexuality imo.
I could be entirely butchering this case study but its what I was taught in psychology and I am totally welcome to other opinions ideas or perspectives
The point was that while people engaged in homosexual behavior supposedly there were no men who preferred sex with other men to getting it on with women.
