        Okay, but in this case, didn't Marx vehemently reject the idea of there being a "Marxism"?

          You see that story told a lot, but the closest Marx said was, "If this [views espoused by some of his early followers] is Marxism, then I'm not a Marxist." ~ Not against the idea itself, but against one expression of it.
