I never really got the appeal of death note. It seemed so lacking in scope and vision. Like there's this guy who can kill anyone anywhere, and... he kills some rando "criminals" and then there's a cop?
I guess the appeal is 50/50 between the drama and the audience members having a power fantasy about how if they had the deathnote they'd not be such a lib.
