I got diagnosed 7 years ago in the middle of undergrad. I've only ever been on Ritalin/ a generic methylphenidate because that's prescribed almost exclusively for ADHD here. I'm sure I could probably get on adderal or something else if I had a problem with Ritalin, but I haven't bothered to shop around because it's definitely an improvement over the unmedicated shitshow of my brain, and the side effects (mostly elevated anxiety and appetite suppression for me) ain't nothing I can't fix by smoking a bowl after work.
