Thanks
It's a pretty solid pop-science book. If you want additional details about how badly humans have wrecked the planet for...well the planet, it's worth reading. Unfortunately, (iirc), it kind of skirts the political/ideological aspects of why everything is being killed off, but the science is interesting and it does a good job of conveying the scale of how bad things are at this point.
Unfortunately, I’m a college drop, out so Pop science works for me. Dropping out of school is one of the bigger things I’m ashamed of
Shit happens man.
It’s my personal belief that, much like everything else in the world, none of this is designed for our benefit; it needs to direct money upwards and reenforce structures that are self-serving more than anything else.
So, sure, I’m sure you could have some things differently. But a lot of the time there are structural forces stacking decks against people.
I dunno, I used to teach at a college and it was really depressing to see how inadequately it addressed students’ needs. I personally would never blame anyone for having trouble in school, the education system (in the US) is a fuck.
Yes, and she has another one coming. I think she's a great writer and I like watching interviews with her. She seems to have that 30 yard stare of a solider that's seen too much. I could be projecting but it always seems like she's haunted by what she knows.
