Got an idea from a website to substitute meat for apple slices when making sandwiches and it works like a dream. The sweetness actually goes very well with everything else.

No potential Crohn’s flare-ups, no afterlunch bloatedness and lethargy, no problems. Easy to make in a rush, too, though having time to heat it up via stove or panini press makes it all the better. Should also work with vegan cheese just fine, which I’ll try.

    There really is a lot of variation if you want to avoid traditional meat sandwiches like Turkey/ham/etc. I wish I knew about it sooner.
