Right. So we don't like capitalism. And the entire car market is the product of a capitalist mode of production. We get that. But please give us this space, so we don't have to deal with chuds, who like to say shit like "The Cherokee nation has requested changing the name of FCA's Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee? Well they should keep it, just because!" It's quite insufferable.
Unpopular opinion: Cars are fucking boring. I will never understand people who are like, into cars
Mostly because if you have the money, they, ikr any luxury good, can be fun
I mean I'd like to drive a fast sports car once just to see what it's like but I can't imagine being super into it.
Also luxury cars are kinda cringe tbh.
I have considered it, but none of the the other subchats starting with C use that format so...
I don't know a huge amount about newer cars but I'm pretty good with the mechanical bits and willing to throw my knowledge to help comrades
I think this is a great idea. Trains are cool, but it's delusional to think that a high speed rail system is the end all answer to transportation. There are places too rural to justify a train or bus. And it would be decades before that infrastructure would ever make it to those areas. So cars are staying around in some capacity for a while.
Also, I really enjoy restoring old motorcycles and dirt bikes. I've caught flak in the past because it's "hypocritical" for me to lecture my neighbor about how climate change is very real, while also restoring old 2 strokes. Like fella, this old bike travels less than 50 miles a year, it ain't the problem chief.
I second this motion officially. Good idea. :agony-4horsemen: <-emote unrelated
+1 for cars. I fucking love classic cars.

ever since covid started, i actually miss commuting lol. top down, blast some tunes, slam some gears and go home :)
I am once again asking the mods to consider this idea. I want a space to discuss the vehicles that could have been, and what the car market might look like if not for capitalism.
