A little trick I learned from my local Food not Bombs is that with oat foods (only really tried it with crisp/crumble and morning oatmeal), you can add just the tiniest hint of cayenne pepper and it adds just the perfect little sparkle. I'm talking like hardly perceptible. I highly recommend you try it.
But then with me, I just started putting more and more cayenne in because I liked it, and now here I am eating a spicy bowl of oatmeal every morning for breakfast.
Wow I'll have to try that thanks for sharing! That actually does sound like it can be good, it reminds me of how people put turmeric in random stuff for the kick. I really need to work on my breakfast recipes honestly, that's where I'm lacking the most.
Kinda same; not very creative with the breakfasts. I'm an oatmeal every day person because it's dirt cheap and ruthlessly efficient. I've got a sourdough going though, so sometimes I make pancakes with that.
Wait a minute, spicy as in tastes good, or spicy SPICY oatmeal O.O?
Spicy spicy my friend.

Makes sense, oatmeal is so healthy too. I've been meaning to try making some more creative tofu scrambles
