What was the first Theory you read?
I feel way more explicit grief for animals than people and always have, it's an okay thing. When I really thought about it it's because with relatives and people who die there's also supporting other people as an angle and for my grandparents I knew my parents needed my to help them more than crying in my life would do, I feel responsible to make things easier for those around me. The cats I've had didn't have those social interactions so then it's MY grief and mine alone, people can feel bad but you know for sure that your extended family isn't also losing sleep over your cat.
